CBS’s Scorpion crawls to ITV2

ITV2 in the UK has acquired the exclusive first-window broadcast and subscription VoD rights to US drama Scorpion, following a deal with CBS Studios International.

Scorpion is inspired by the true story of eccentric genius Walter O’Brien and his team of geeky misfits, who are brought together by an FBI agent to help fight high-tech threats to national security in cyberspace.

The show premiered on US network CBS last week but will launch on ITV2 this autumn. It is made by CBS Television Studios, KO Paper Products, Perfect Storm Entertainment and SB Films.

Sasha Breslau, head of acquired series at ITV, brokered the deal with Stephen Tague, senior VP for Europe at CBS Studios International.
